I am 16 years old, and my ex girlfriend broke up with me 10 months ago. Even after all that time, I still think about her every day. Over the summer I thought I had finally moved on, but as it turns out I’ve never stopped wanting her back. Nothing in the world could make me happier than getting back together with her. She goes to a different school now, but I occasionally see her at parties and other social gatherings. I can’t accurately portray how much I miss her, and I would do anything to win her back.

how do i get my ex back?

Okay, so I dated this guy around this time last year and i broke up with him because I wasn’t really feeling it and he was flirting with another girl. we have been talking a lot lately and i like him a lot again. I told him what i was feeling and he said that he would just like to be friends. what can i do to try and get him back? and if its not possible what can i do so that things arnt awkward between us because i would rather still be really good friends if nothing else.

How do you get your ex boyfriend back with out being so obvious about it?

well my boyfriend broke up with me and I still like him a lot. I still dream about him and everything. But I don’t think he still likes me.

When me and my ex broke off, I tried every rule in the book to get him back, i’ve read countless articles of how to get him back, and been all over Yahoo answers to find a way to get back with him.
truth is he did eventually come back, and eventually wanted to be with me, but it was due to the fact that I stopped trying and started to live my life the best way possible. I ran into a new guy, and me and him started dating, and somehow My ex got really jealous and wanted me back. I guess it goes for the old saying you never know what you have until is gone. But I’ll give you a few tips anyway to help you out.

For starters, I’m sure everyone has said this and know this…..do not contact him…do not beg him back, do not cause drama when you are with him.

second, spend your time bettering yourself, find some new activities that you always wanted to do but never had a chance to, and get your body in shape to build your self confidence

third, spend time with friends, make new friends, find people to hangout with, get to know other people

fourth, start answering other people’s questions about their ex’s, and how they feel, sometimes when you realize that you are not the only one suffering, you might feel better, you might want even answer some of your own questions on here b/c chances are there are other people going through the same exact thing, I happen to be one of them.

fifth, don’t read in between the lines, if your ex wants to hangout, or if he calls to ask a question, or if he gives you any signal that might make you think he wants you back, don’t fall for it….sometimes after a breakup, your consicious makes you believe what you want to believe and plays mind tricks. Take everything that he does or say for what it is, and nothing more. If he ask you out to a movie, then don’t see it as a date, don’t see it as he wants you back or else you will be dissapointed when his intentions are not what you expected.

sixth, keep in mind, the power lies in the person that cares the least, so if you stop wanting something so bad, and stop caring about it, maybe he will come back crawling to you once he realize he’s got nothing left. " the grass is not always greener on the other side". Sooner or later, he will think of you, and realize it’s too late, don’t let him know you are waiting for him, b/c then he’ll just keep doing him and forget that you existed.

seventh, if you guys do decide to be friends, try not to be emotional about the fact that you guys are JUST FRIENDS, in fact be exactly just that, let him know he can’t have you anymore, b/c you are not his g/f.

8th, if he ask you for favors, do them, but don’t rush to do it, but be nice about it when he asks, and than go back to the friend zone, which means you are not calling him 24/7, and you keep it short and brief on the phone and stop texting.

9th, if he asks you about your life, tell him you are doing great, you have all these things going on for yourself, and that you have this guy that has a crush on you, and you might consider going out with him. ( don’t do this unless you think this will backfire on you )….but honestly, sometimes making a guy jealous and letting him know he no longer has you is the best way to slap him in the face and get him to come to a realization.

10th, only b/c if theres a 9th rule, I might as well make a 10th rule…lol. don’t let him know you are doing all this to get him back, don’t do anything that he might think you are using it to play games with him…soooo… make yourself valuable, make yourself beautiful, and make yourself into a cold heartless human being that doesn’t give a crap about him..and you should do fine

GOOD LUCK….keep in mind…destiny is already written…so prepare yourself that no matter what you do… you can’t change what’s not meant to be…but you can change the fact that you won’t regret what you didn’t do 10 years from now by putting your best efforts now.

HELP ABOUT AN EX BF and whether we should get back together?

My ex bf and i broke up 6 months ago..since then we have still talked and hung out every now and then. We still hook up because i am not sleeping with any one else and he told me he was not either.. By hanging out the past couple of months we have begun having feelings for each other again and he now wants to get back together.. He broke up with me because he wanted to be single.. In the past couple months of hooking up i would continue to ask him if he is sleeping with other girls and he would continue to say no… I knew he was lying and finally told him to just admit it. He told me he had slept with 2 other girls since we had broken up and that he was single so he could but he shouldn’t of lied about it to me and he was sorry.. Now he wants to give it another shot. Am i being to over dramatic about the situation because he slept with two other girls even though he is single? Do i take him back because i do still have feelings for him..

If it didn’t work the first time it’s not gonna work the second time. I promise.

Your friend is right. If you beg or plead you will look weak and unattractive. If you keep your distance and make believe you are happy, he will wonder what you are up to and come around.

After breaking up and getting back together, do people usually stay together?

One of my best friends and his girlfriend are long distance (college and HS). She wanted to take a break, so they did. I guess they’re getting back together. But I don’t want him to get hurt. I think he cares about her more (she’s a year older.) What’s the chance that they’ll stay together?

Not very likely.

Think of it like marriages. 1st marriages have the highest success rate. After each successive marriage the % goes down by 1/3 each time.

What Do You Do When You Break Up Then Get Back Together Again?

Hello.
What I’m trying to say is..
For example, say you were going out for 10 months, then decided to take a break for 2 weeks then get back together. And your 1 year anniversary is June 21st. So would you still celebrate on June 21st? Or add the two weeks and celebrate July 5th? Or completely restart?

Go with the original date. It may not be 100% accurate but if you’re in the type of relationships where breaks have and may happen again in the future, you can’t really change your date every time. The original date will be more special as that will be the first time you guys got together.
