Unfortunately, many people deal with and have dealt with break ups throughout their lives and it is always tough when it happens. Break ups can happen for so many reasons but most of the time one or both parties in the relationship need to have a little time to themselves. Relationships are fragile and in order for both people involved to be and stay happy the relationship needs to be nurtured and cared for as if it were a child.

There have been times when the relationship was ended but one or both persons involved want to rekindle the magic that was once there and get back with their ex. One of the best things to do in this situation is to take a step back and just go with the flow for now. Obviously you or the other person needed time alone or the relationship would not have ended, so just let things be as they are for now.

You should never appear to be needy; this is one of the worst things a person can do when trying to get the ex back. It is okay to want to be back with your ex and it is okay to be determined to get him or her back but do not call all the time or be too clingy. If your ex sees that you are unable to let go it may just turn them off to the idea of getting back together with you and possibly turn them further away.

When you are trying to rebuild a relationship with an ex lover it may seem difficult but you must try to cut off any and all communication for now. We have all heard that communication is best for trying to keep a relationship from falling to pieces but when it has already fallen to pieces it is best to not talk to each other, at least for a little while. Like I mentioned earlier, the other person may just need a break from you and if you call every day he or she will more than likely not want to be with you that much more.

It may be difficult to deal with a break up from someone you cared about very much but you should not sit around and cry and sulk about it. You need to get out of the house and have some fun with single friends. Laughter has always been a great cure, even for a broken heart. I am not trying to tell you that you need to go find someone else and date around for a while but sitting around the house pitying yourself is doing you no good.

Never, ever try to be someone that you are not. If your ex decided that there is something that they like certain traits that you do not have you should not try to change yourself because of them. You know that your ex loved you for who you were in the beginning but sometimes people can get bored with the same old thing. Therefore it is best just to be yourself and then maybe your ex will remember why they loved you in the first place.

These are just a few ways to make sure you do not do anything to hurt your chances at getting your ex back.
