She broke up with me cuz she thought i’d get mad that she used to smoke but I didn’t, that’s how much I love her. I just want to get with her again before the other guy does a move. She once told me that i’m like the best boyfriend she ever had in her life and that she’ll never break up with me but she dosen’t smoke anymore. I love her soo mutch!!!

to start ill just give you a little story. so this girl was “dating” this guy who didnt treat her very well but she loved him and he loved her and he was the first person she ever loved. but he wasnt treating her well so i came along and me and her started talking (we go to the same school, as did her boyfriend at that time) and we grew close and eventually we hooked up and one thing led to another and we were dating. well, she really did love this guy, but lucky for me, he went on a foreign exchange program and couldnt keep in contact with her for the whole summer. so me and her grew really close and we loved eachother, and i know we loved eachother. there was one problem though. she was going to a different school which was far away and i wouldnt be seeing her very much at all, so we talked about it a lot and we decided to break up and if we still loved eachother, we would date the next summer. so the school year went on and we still loved eachother all the way through december. but there was a problem, she was talking to her ex boyfriend (the one who she loved first). but they got in fights and they stopped talking. but they had established contact again which was a problem. but anyway, in december we decided to try dating eachother cause we still loved eachother, but so much had happened between the summer and december that things werent the same. we expected things to be amazing like they used to be, and we tried to hard to have that, which just made things harder. so, she starts talking to her ex boyfriend more and more. and midway through february, she dumps me for him… but she doesnt wanna date him yet, shes waiting until the summer.

ive talked to her a lot since then and she said to me “i loved u a lot, and i still have feelings for you, but we ended really badly, but i want to be really good friends with you” and i asked her why she went back to her ex boyfriend if they had such a miserable relationship and she was like “he was the first one i loved and we have this connection i cant explain. me and u had a great connection, but our relationship ran its course.” so i started to become a friend to her. but then she came home for vacatoin, and we hung out and things were great, but she was trieing so hard to be friends, but i know she had feelings for me still, but she wont accept it cause she doesnt think me and her would ever work again. she also saw her ex boyfriend, and they also had a good time. we recently got in an argument about it and she asked me “why cant we just be best friends?” and i told her it was cause my feelings were way mroe than that, and then i told her that i cant deal with this hurt anymore and i told her im not gonna talk to her for a long time. so i decided im not going to contact her for a month and since she is going back to school soon, her ex boyfriend shouldnt be too much of a threat to me since he wont see her in person for a while. but i need to know how to get her back before summer. i cant tell u how much me and her have been through together and how much i love her, she is everything to me and we had such a great relationship the first time. i know what we did wrong the second time and i know we can avoid those mistakes, but she wont take it, cause she has feelings for me and her ex. i jsut want her to see that im the better guy, and that she can have a great connection with me. she even has told her ex that she wishes he was like me, and that she wishes she had loved me first. but she still has hope for him, and still hopes he can be a good boyfriend. but i know that shell be unhappy. and ive told her all this, so dont suggest to me that i should tell her. ive also told her exactly how i feel, so dont suggest that either please.

i know she wont go back with me cause she thinks that it wont work and that our relationship has run its course. what i want to hear back from you guys is. how do i make her see me as what i used to be to her? how do i get her back from this guy? she has admitted to me that she wishes i was the first person she loved and that she had built the strong connection with me. so obviously she still has a lot of feelings for me. but how do i make her believe that we can work out like we used to? should i establish a friendship with her again first? how should i act with her? if there are any professional dating advice people out there. if they could answer this one for me, it would be very helpful and id appreciate it so much.

but please dont tell me to give up and move on, ive loved her for so long, its been a year now since ive loved her, and i know she still loves me in some ways too.

any advice from anyone is very much appreciated

I’d hate to tell you to move on, but MOVE ON. It sucks when you’re in a relationship with someone and you love the other person more than she likes you.

So me and my ex girlfriend broke up in june, because of parents disagreement, and distance issues.
we did not talk at all over summer. now we started talking again and we both are still in love with eachother. now we both have a girlfriend and boyfriend. that we care alot about but still have that special feeling for eachother still. What should we do?

You either stay with the people you are with now or break up with them and be with your ex. You have to think about things like "do I see myself with my now girlfriend in the future-as in someone to settle down with-rather than my ex?" and think about who makes you happier and who you can’t live without. I understand you still love your ex but I’m sure you love one more than the other. You just have to really think about it.

my bf wants space as of like 3 days ago. i was reading over messages we sent to eachother on sep 26, a few days ago. he had just gotten a facebook, and this is what he wrote "maria, whats taking you so long to accept the friend request?" i replied sorry, he said "nah dont worry im just playing with you" and the nhe wrote about my job "am so happy for you maria i am iam" then h e wrote "Are u there" i wrote "yeah of course and i miss u alot babe" he wrote "maria stop been gay lol.." then he wrote "i have been watching all ur updates its really cute" then i replyed "why u dont miss me" he replied back "you wrote u just finished laundry and loved the movie, oh i got you babe of course i miss you" then i wrote "aww thanks baby" then h e wrote " aww mar im poroud of you big girl (i got my 1st job), then he wrote "i know it would be cool if u were here specially now since its cold i would have u in my arms, " then he also wrote "remeber u are my maria, its really nice when we are together" he still calls me babe and often. since that was a few days ago, and about 2 days ago he keeps saying he wants space. ill give it to him, but what should i do to make him really miss me? iwe had a good reason for taking a break but when should i contact him again? on sunday? is he still in love with me? i miss him so much..what should i do and what do these messages mean? we also took a break cuz im really bitchy at times. we were together for 11 months.

okay so my ex asked me to take a break with her and i agreed. then the next day she said that we should break up because i would never change. i was always stressed out and i would fight with her alot. the next day i was devastated because i found out she was already seeing somebody else. it was hard to accept it but eventually i did. she said we could still be friends and that she still loved and had feelings for me. i continued talking to her and would ask her if she missed me. she would reply yes. we would still see eachother but not nearly as much. she finally started dating this guy. i still continued talking to her as if it didnt happen. finally, he texted me and told me she didnt want to talk to me anymore and that she wanted to have nothing to do with me. i sort of believed him because i was being to clingy. the next day she texted me and told me good luck for my race and then when i got done asked how i felt. i replied to both then we didnt talk the rest of the day. she seems like she really wants to move on and have nothing to do with me but i still love her and want her back. can u help me out?

First of all u should tell her that you still have feelings for her and still luv her and cant seem to let her go. And that you havent stopped thinking about her for the past three years and that nobody else can fill the hole in ur hears except her and want to know if she will take you back. if she says no respect it cuz if you really love this girl you will give her the space she needs because after all if you were in her position i am sure you would want some space. Ik i would. So to sum it up if you really love her you will respect her choices and back off. and who knows maybe she will want you back too.

My boyfriend broke up with me a few weeks ago, we ended up arguing quite a bit towards the end of the relationship.. He said he couldn’t take the arguing anymore and thinks the reason why we argue is because we are different and not right for eachother.
However I don’t agree, there was a reason for our arguments, which were stupid arguments by the way, they kept happening because 2 months ago he had broken up with me as he ‘couldn’t be in a relationship anymore’ even though he still loved me. however he began to miss me and wanted me back, so we got back together but after 2 weeks of arguing he ended it again. I think we argued in those 2 weeks because we needed to discuss our previous break up and ‘clear the air’, I was stil hurt from the previous break up so would pick small arguments.
Now that we are over I want to make him see that if we just discuss our problems we can be ok, but everytime we talk it leads to an argument.. he keeps saying he’s made his decision and I keep getting upset and keep trying to convince him to change his mind… I also ask him why he ended it cos I don’t understand why, as in my eyes his reason isn’t clear if he still loves me.
he just said that “we dont work and we cant be together”
but i keep on texting him or emailing him or trying to call him, everytime i do he either ignores it or says hes busy. but i want to know the reason behind our break up because i want to know if it is my fault because i dont want to do the same mistake again if i will enter to anew relationship.. and if he really does love me he wouldnt just give up

but he constantly ignores me..
at first he told me that I still have a special place in his heart, but after a few days he started ignoring me

i want us to still talk, after all the bad things he said to me, my feelings haven’t changed… i still love him

i want to win him back.. please help me..

i think i pushed him away with my actions after our break up, how can i go back on track.. and win him back or even re-open our communication…and try and make him see we can work through this

Ok…there’s no easy way to tell you this kid…

X’s are x’s for good reasons…so at this point in time you two aren’t really right for each other.
Have some patience and wait a lil and maybe just maybe things will work out and you’ll get back…or more likely you’ll meet someone else and he’s just become a few fond memories.

Best thing you can do is stop trying to get him back. If he genuinely wants to come back he will…you can’t force him into anything.

Hey everyone… I was wondering how I could get my girlfriend back.

We have been dating for almost a year now, and we just recently broke up. We have broken up before, but never like this. She says that we just don’t get along and we don’t make eachother happy, and we just didn’t get along. I want to convince her that I really can make her happy! I know I can, I just went through a lot last year between being assaulted on my birthday, my parent’s divorce, tumors, financial problems, etc… etc…

I made a promise to myself, God, and the bible way way way before this girl came into my life. I promised myself that I would keep the girl whose virginity I took and I would forever stay with the girl who took my virginity. We both took eachother’s back in October 2009. & I am good on my word and promises & am a Christian so this promise to God will be kept.

Things are really awkward right now and my birthday is coming up on August 26th. I really want to ask for her back after we have a casual day of hanging out. What can I do until then to make it so that she is more prone to getting back with me? We also met for the first time on my birthday as well….. so it has significant value to it…

What sort of plan of action should I take to accomplish this? She cannot resist to get back with me if I kiss her passionately… but how would I be able to get her to kiss me if she is so awkward around me now?

okay your on the right track. just give her some space. she obviously loves you too, but i dont think she is quite sure of herself right now. she may just want to take a little break. so give her that space, but not too much. no more than a week. you dont want her to find someone else! so on your birthday, or soon before it, just pour your heart out. it needs to be in person. get her a gift, something. just show her how much you love her and how much it would kill you if you didnt get back together. good luck, have faith.

We split a few months ago, were together for four years & were craaaaaaaazy in love.. i was 15 wen i met him and he was 18.

We didnt cheat on eachother or want anyone else, but for some personal reason i had to move far away and because i was trying to live my life here he thought i forgot about him and moved on which hurt him alot so now he is just cold and distant with me, acting like a whole other person. He still calls and texts and emails if i dont, which are very short just to see how i am, but when i respond he is short and cuts off again.

Please help, i really do love him and miss him. Talking to him and telling him how i feel does not work at all – He was so hurt that he has changed. But when i do actually not contact he seems nicer :S

I’ve been in a similar situation, it’ll just continue to be that way. If you’ve already told him that you still love & miss him, and that you want to get back together & it’s not doing anything to change the situation then I think you’re left with 2 choices. First one is to tell him staright up again that you love & miss him and that you want to get back together. Give him an ultimatum, Let him know that if he doesn’t want to try being together anymore that you’re moving on, either he gets over the fact that you moved away & forgives you or it will never work. Second if he doesn’t want to get back together it’s time for you to move on, cut him out of your life. I know it seems drastic but it’s the only way you will ever begin to get over him TRUST ME!
