My ex boyfriend and I were on good terms and I was in his life. He doesn’t want to see anyone else, but he doesn’t want a relationship either. I stopped talking to him a couple weeks ago, thinking he’ll miss me and want a relationship. Am I doing the right thing by not talking to him and giving him zero attention? I need advice on what to do to get him back. What will make him want to pursue a relationship again with me? What makes guys want someone?

Getting your ex back can be very difficult, considering we often act on pure emotions than on rational thinking – although you do seem to be on the right track by giving him some space.

The boyfriend and I broke up a couple weeks ago. The way he did it he had no class and totally admitted that he used me. We both have so much bitterness and anger towards each other it is crazy. I get angry when I think about him or see his name come on my phone. We have spoke a couple times after the breakup (because there is a baby on the way)…..but it has not been very pleasant conversation. He called today but was sarcastic so i hung up on him. I called him back on my lunch hour and said "think about why i am so angry/bitter to you". He called me back about 5 minutes later, and I answered and said "I dont think I have anything to say at this point in time." And once again hung up. We are both angry. Do people ever get back together after a bad breakup?

No, this sounds like a messed up relationship to get yourself back into and would be reckless and careless of you to accept back into this relationship. Can’t bring a baby into this world when both of it’s parents hate each other that much and is going to bring a bad atmosphere around it.

My boyfriend broke up with me a couple weeks ago.We dated for 3 years and 4 months. We’re both 17, but we were in love, no doubt. We were each other’s first everything (first boyfriend/girlfriend/kiss/love) We even live right down the street from each other. This breakup hurt me so badly. He basically said he needed time to think about his life and i did nothing wrong. I want him back though, i have not talked to him since we broke up. what are some ways to get him to talk to me again? what should i do to make him want to talk to me? what should i do to make him miss me? i’m not going to do anything mean, i just miss him. DON’T TELL ME I’M TOO YOUNG TO LOVE, I KNOW WHAT LOVE IS. I DON’T WANT HEAR ANY OF THAT. any advice will help,please and thank you.

Well im your age and me and my boyfriend been together over 2 1/2 years. Maybe he wants to explore other relationships since hes been with you so long. Sometimes i think what it would be like with someone else but im not the type that does that. Just wait it out..tell him how you feel and see what he says. Maybe in the end even though you guys were together so long it wasnt meant to be. Your young still so itll be easier for you to move on if he doesnt wantt to get back together.

About a month ago, I broke up with a guy in a sort of heat-of-the-moment type of thing, we had been fighting a lot and it just came up all of a sudden. I was numb about it and thought it was just because we had been together for so long. I think he started to move on in that situation, but we’re better friends than we were in our relationship (another struggle we had, I felt we lost our friendship after we got into a relationship) A couple weeks ago we started talking more and more and I thought something might happen again, but didn’t want to rush it. I decided to tell him I had lied to him about drinking a few times (he doesn’t like drinking, and I went out a few times not telling him I’d be doing it) He wasn’t happy about it, and told me he’s never gone back to an ex after he lied – and he agreed with telling me he may get over it, because supposedly I meant more to him than all of his exes (about 5 he said) He told me he wasn’t sure if he could have another relationship with me ever again, but he wasn’t ruling anything out in the future…. then he completely contradicted himself by saying, "you could find someone a lot better than me." when I said he was the only guy i wanted to be with, and that I was too good for him. He said he needs time to be "selfish" which I can’t still get why he feels the need to do that. He said he can trust me, but I want him to see me as someone he can be in a relationship with. He said he needs a while, maybe until September when we go back to school (I’m in 1st year university, him 2nd year, at the same school uncoincidentally) what can I do to get him to see he belongs with me, even through everything we’ve been through? Keep in mind, he told me I’m the closest person to him in his life… so I think that means hang out at least once or twice a week.

Also while saying that, he said he may have feelings for someone else but he can’t even begin to think about it right now…. any advice for what to do with that?

Ever hear that saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder?" Or "Guys want what they can’t have?" Normally, I would say forget it, and move on. But it seems as if you love him, and when love is in the equation, logical answers don’t matter. So, let him have this break, yes, hang out with him, but male sure to not talk about your relationship, just be his friend for now. Being there for him, with no strings attached, will open his eyes. If not, its not meant to be.

What is the best thing I can do to get my ex boyfriend back?

My boyfriend and I were dating for a year and a half. We split up a little over two weeks ago due to many differences and lots of on going unnecessary fights. I don’t feel good about this at all, we were so in love and talked many times about having a family and spending our lives together. I never thought he would want this to end, even with all the fighting, I always thought we would work things out. About a month ago we got an apartment, which has made this break up even harder. I realize there has been a lot of stress on his part, working two jobs and so many things he would like to get done, but as a couple (in love), don’t you work together and not give up regardless? The last fight we had which was, well the day of our break up, he said that he just hit his breaking point and that things would no longer work for us, we’re two different people. I just don’t get it, why after we just take the step of getting our own place is he so sure that we’re not meant to be? After all that we’ve been through together? I know that this man is sensitive, emotional, and caring, but all ive seen these last two weeks is someone who acts so careless towards me, like he never even loved me. Is that just a front? I want him back so bad! He says there is no chance, but isn’t it too soon for him to even tell, I mean in time will he realize that maybe he made a mistake? If he ever truly loved me wouldn’t he want to work something out eventually? I know I was frustrating him with all my meltdowns the first couple weeks, but i’ve decided to take a different approach in hopes to win him back. I’m going to work towards my independence, not harass him, give him his much needed space. Anything else I can do to make him realize that he should give this another shot? Please help, this man is impossible to read! Every response I get is emotionless, and I just don’t see how he can be ready to just forget about me after a year and a half. Just want to add there isn’t another girl involved in case that’s what you’re thinking, I know that for a fact. He just said he can’t live with the stress of things anymore. I’m trying to be that girl that he was originally attracted to in the first place. Please help me.

All you can do for now is be a friend.. Be that person you were at the beginning.. When at work try not to be around him that might make him miss you.. You can also just be there simply if he needs you.. Try being the one where he can go to if he needs to but don’t be persistent in your attempts to get him back.. i love him still & he once "loved" me. i know he still cares, but it seems like he is always trying to make me jealous by talking about other girls. it really does make me jealous. he’s an expert at that. can you help me? should i try to make him jealous back, if so, what makes you the most jealous? just please help me. i’ve been ignoring him for the past couple weeks to make him seem like i don’t care about him, but truth be told. i love him so much & it’s killing me not to talk to him.

If youve made it a couple of weeks, keep going.. it gets easier. Cause if hes your ex, and still doing this jealous thing and talkin to other girls he needs to remain your ex. Its always easier to take an ex back than to get over it.. but then you just end up in worst shape than the before because it wont last the 2nd time either. If he wanted to be with you, and was into you, then the other girl things would not be an issue. Its gonna hurt.. its supposed to… but youre gonna need to let this one go. Find somebody who deserves you.
