How to get my ex back without being too pushy?
My boyfriend had recently broke up with me because he was having troubles at home with his parents fighting and didn’t want me to get hurt or get dragged in. I really sad about it as the relationship was great till his home troubles started to effect it.
So I decided I will give him some space to let him sort out his life and for myself enjoy being single for a while and get out and about 
Yet I do hope when his troubles are gone that we can get back together so what should I do?
For christmas he gave me a lovely necklace which i love. I would wear it everyday in college with him and he would wear a bracelet i got him everyday as well.
I don’t want to throw it away as it was very expensive and of course it was from him. But should i carry on wearing everyday to show I still remember him or not wear for a while?
Also I don’t want to seem like I pushed him out of my life or don’t love him, I still love him and I want to get back with him when he is ready so apart from giving him space what else should I do?
If there are any other tips please tell me thank you
P.S. I know he still loves me and he never had an affair while we was together, just at the moment he spending most of the time by himself or his friends. Also I won’t chase him forever as what can of life is that? I just want to show him I will be there for him and if he is ready for an relationship again I want to give it another chance
about the relationship with him..it was the best time in my life. We are college students yes but we got to the point where we would talk about having children and our future and he met my mother and he would say soon I would be able to stay over his house and see his parents.
I know he broke us up because he thinks it better for me to move on from him as he doesn’t want me to get hurt. But I really want to be with him and be there for him.
