Can you get an ex girlfriend back if has been a while?

3

So it’s been 10 months, we’ve stayed friends, she’s went out with another guy for a small period of time. I have not, she is the only girl I’ve been with, which can bother me sometimes. Also since we broke up she got a really good job and my job went out of business and I am unemployed. I feel like she’s moved on mature wise while I still have very little to show for my life. We’re in our early 20′s and I really miss her and care about her and I know she feels the same. We broke up because I wasnt there for her as often as she wanted and I fear I’m even more scared and undeserving of her then ever before. We tried hanging out a couple times as more then friends and it was almost ackward. I fear we have moved apart to much and there is no going back and we must move foward in life. But it’s hard because of how much I love her. Maybe it’s best to move on but Im not sure i really want to. It’s so hard to know what to do
I know it seems right to move on, but it’s easier said then done. I really miss being in that relationship and I really wish we’d work out. I know though that high school couples dont really last, we’ve both just changed I guess. As far as finding a job is concerned, I’m 22 and I have no qualifications and Im still in school so I will probably find something good and minium wage, but i dont plan on finding a career anytime soon

Ah, “the only girl I’ve ever been with” so therefore she’s all you know…….

Getting back with an X is never a good idea – it ended for a reason. That “awkwardness” is not true love dear, its a sign/red flag.

Move on and meet new people.

To your additional comments:

You don’t need a girl if you are only making min. wage and have no qualifications.

How are you supposed to take her out and what if you get her pregnant?

It sounds like you need to get your life together, start building a future for yourself and your future family.

Couples divorce everyday over money issues, spouses doing nothing with their lives, lack of compatibility, etc. and most of all don’t settle out of loneliness and desperation.
